Owen Lewis QNA

Image
Recently, I caught up with Owen Lewis who is a highly rated centre back for Union College, KY and AC Houston Sur and has previously played for Morecambe FC and Liverpool Football College. Firstly Owen, who is the best and worst player you've played with so far in your career? I would say the best player I’ve played with is Ben Marshall whilst I was playing for Stoneclough. He used to play for Leicester, Stoke, Blackburn and few other professional teams. Easily the best technical player I’ve played with.  I don’t really know of any worst players I’ve played with to be honest.  What would you say has been the best and also the worst moment in your career?  I think the best moment of my career so far would’ve been captaining my team in the FA youth cup or maybe having the chance to play football in America.  The worst moment would probably have been getting released from Morecambe at 16.  If you weren't a football player what would you be doing? If I wasn’t ...

Will Jubb QNA

Image
Recently, I was able to catch up with the former Hull Kingston Rovers and current York City Knights hooker Will Jubb, to discuss his career so far and what his plans are for the season.  Firstly Will, who is the best and also the worst player you've played with so far in your career? I’ve played with lots of great players but I’ve played with Matty marsh a lot over the years and he is definitely one of the best, he’s a match winner but is consistently outstanding as well.  Not sure about the worst, everyone who plays the game deserves a lot of credit.  What has been the best and worst moment in your career? Best moment is definitely playing at Wembley. Although we didn’t get the result, it was still an amazing experience which some players never get and I’m very grateful and proud to get to do it.  Worst moment is being relegated with hull KR in the 2016 million pound game.  If you weren't a rugby player what would you be doing? I’ve been doing a phd in f...

Lewis Wilkins QNA

Image
Recently, I interviewed young goalkeeper Lewis Wilkins to discuss his career so far. Lewis who is 17,spent the entirety of the previous season out on loan at Ide Hill FC from Sevenoaks Town.  Firstly Lewis, who would you say is the best and the worst player you've played with so far in your career? Since I’ve started playing senior football in non league you have to opportunity to play with some top players. One player that stood out to me in particular is one of my Ide Hill teammates from last season Jamie Fearn. He’s calm and composed on the ball and he’s the sort of player who can get the team out of trouble when called upon. In terms of the worst player I’ve played with I can’t say I’ve had any stand out players because when you’re in senior football you know the expectations so you have to perform week in week out and all of my teammates had great seasons last year. What has been the best and worst moment in your career? I’d have to say the best moment in my career ...

Tom Jones QNA

Image
Recently, I caught up with Tom Jones who is a highly rated centre forward for Stretford Paddock FC and has previously played for Warrington Town FC. First question Tom, who would you say is the best and also the worst player you've played with so far in your career? I've played with a lot of top quality lads in my career, but the best that I've played with would probably have to be a child hood friend of mine Joel Atkinson, a lot of the lads at school used to call him messi when we were at school, unbelievably talented, sadly he got injured a lot and stop after we were around 17-18. In terms of worst player I've played with there isn't many that spring to mind, some Sunday league footballers probably but its been a while since I've played Sunday league.  What would you say has been the best and worst moment moment in your career? Best moment of my career was winning the Cheshire Cup with Whittle Hall a team I used to play for, we played awful in the league tha...

Harry Flatters QNA

Image
Recently, I caught up with one of the most exciting goalkeepers around in English Football, Harry Flatters to discuss his career so far from being apart of the Middlesbrough Academy to spending time at Spennymoor Town.  So firstly Harry, what would you say has been the best and also the worst moment in your career so far and why?   For my personally, my best moment has to be keeping my first league clean sheet when I was at Spennymoor Town.  I think my worst moment would have to be when my scholarship ended at Middlesbrough as unfortunately I was released.  Who would you say is the best and also the worst player you’ve played with so far?  I’d probably say Glen taylor would be the best player I’ve played with he’s just unbelievable. I wouldn’t say I’ve got a worst player to be honest, but I have trained with some top players like Ravel Morrison who just has quality attributes.  Harry, if you weren’t a goalkeeper, what would you be doing?  Well I’m actu...
